Building confidence in Maths and unlocking potential, one success at a time.

When we suddenly see what we can do, we start to want more of that feeling - and more motivation leads to even greater success, increased confidence and the learning cycle becomes positive.

Based in Shropshire in the UK, I teach Maths to clients face to face, but also all around the world online, both in small groups and 1:1 sessions for UK Entrance Exams, Key Stage 3, GCSE, iGCSE and A Level.

Hi, I’m Elaine

I specialise in supporting Maths students in the exact way they need, by meeting them where they are, at a pace that suits them.

The problem:

I chose to be a professional tutor so that I could give students the kind of support I knew they needed, but it wasn't always possible for them to get in school - maybe they lacked the confidence to ask for help, maybe they were really anxious about Maths - maybe they were fine in lessons but performed badly in assessments and exams.

How I solve it:

For so many of my students, confidence is key. That's why I meet the students I tutor at their level, showing them they can succeed, and letting them enjoy the feeling of success, gradually increasing the scope of what they can achieve over time, in relaxed yet engaging sessions.

What makes me different:

I did not find Maths particularly easy at school. My original training was not in Maths, but I took an opportunity a few years ago to teach some Maths, and I loved it - so I have learnt a lot of the Maths quite recently - I know exactly how it feels to learn this stuff, I have made all the mistakes and know how daunting it can be! â€‹
